Haupt Named Faculty Co-Director of Center for Health Policy and Law

Professor Claudia Haupt, a nationally recognized expert on First Amendment law at the intersection of free speech, health and technology, has been appointed faculty co-director of Northeastern Law’s Center for Health Policy and Law (CHPL), joining Professor Wendy E. Parmet. The center team promotes innovative solutions to public health challenges through policy analysis, cutting-edge research and innovative interdisciplinary collaboration.
“I am delighted to take on this role with CHPL,” said Haupt, whose work was recently cited in a Supreme Court dissent by Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson. “It’s truly an honor to work alongside Wendy, whose vision and leadership have made the Center for Health Policy and Law a leader in the field and whose generosity as a colleague and collaborator I have deeply appreciated over the years.”
