Davis Named Chair of HR2W Expert Committee

Professor Martha Davis was recently named chair of the expert committee for the HumanRight2Water (HR2W), an international organization that works to integrate the human rights to water and sanitation into law, policy and practice. The committee is comprised of expert members of HR2W with high-profile academic backgrounds related to water governance issues. Davis is also serving as a 2022–2024 fellow of the Carr Center for Human Rights Policy at the Harvard Kennedy School, where she is focusing on the human right to water. “HR2W is developing powerful advocacy tools for water rights worldwide, and I’m excited to engage students with their work as well,” said Davis, who received the American Water Resources Association 2021 William R. Boggess Award for her co-authored paper “An Experiment in Making Water Affordable: Philadelphia’s Tiered Assistance Program (TAP),” which appeared in the Journal of the American Water Resources Association.
