Woo Strengthens Northeastern Law Collaborations in China
In November, Professor Margaret Woo traveled to China on behalf of Northeastern Law to renew the school’s agreements with Renmin University of China, Fudan University, Wuhan University and East China University of Political Science and Law and to build new alliances with additional universities.
“It was a pleasure to return to China to cultivate these important relationships,” said Woo, a leading expert on the Anglo-American legal system and the Chinese socialist legal system who has written two books about East Asian law and justice. “Our long-standing collaborations with a variety of universities in China have brought us together with students and scholars who enrich the legal education and discourse we provide to our students and community.”
Woo’s busy schedule included meetings with representatives of schools and bar associations, delivering talks, arranging new co-op opportunities and connecting with prospective students. She also joined former Northeastern Law visiting scholars for a festive dinner
