Gundavaram Tapped for AALS Executive Committee
Uplifting Diversity
Associate Dean Hemanth Gundavaram has been elected to serve on the 2024 executive board of the Association of American Law Schools (AALS) Section on Minority Groups. This section offers a platform for law educators and administrators to come together, fostering communication and collaboration on issues and programs concerning individuals from historically underrepresented groups in the legal profession.
“Being elected to serve on this executive board is an honor, as well as a testament to AALS’ ongoing commitment to diversity and inclusion,” said Gundavaram, cofounder and director of Northeastern Law’s Immigrant Justice Clinic and current associate dean for academic affairs and director of legal clinics. “I am grateful for the opportunity to work with my colleagues to help advance access to justice and address critical issues facing minority groups in our profession.”
