Teaching Excellence Honored

Congratulations to Professor Erin Islo, who was selected for Northeastern University’s 2026 University Excellence in Teaching Award, an annual honor presented to two professors who have been nominated by students for their outstanding work as educators. Islo is an expert on procedure, federal courts and the philosophy of law. She teaches civil procedure, family law, federal courts and jurisprudence. “Teaching at Northeastern has been a privilege and an absolute joy. The law students are motivated and inspiring, and I am humbled and honored to receive this recognition from them,” said Islo, who was also recognized with the law school’s Teacher of the Year award.

Professor Libby Adler was appointed in January to the Massachusetts Commission on LGBTQ Youth.
The Center for Health Policy and Law (CHPL) recently secured three major grants totaling $1.6 million to advance its public health and legal education leadership.
