Oh, the Places You’ll Go!

Northeastern Law students are finding many options for what to do with their law degrees, as an ever-wider array of opportunities are pursued by our diverse student body. Over the past five years, 50 percent of the law school’s summer associates with Big Law have been students of color. As always, a significant number of students are pursuing public interest careers.

  • Professor Sharmila Murthy, an expert on examining legal and policy barriers to achieving environmental justice, improving access to water and addressing climate change, has been named faculty co-director of the law school’s Center for Public Interest Advocacy and Collaboration.

  • The Massachusetts Department of Higher Education has awarded $150,000 to fund a third year of the Chief Justice Ralph D. Gants Judicial Scholarship Program.

  • Northeastern University School of Law’s Center for Global Law and Justice (CGLJ) submitted two stakeholder reports for the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) of the United States by the UN Human Rights Council, which will take place in November.
