Oh, the Places You’ll Go!
Northeastern Law students are finding many options for what to do with their law degrees, as an ever-wider array of opportunities are pursued by our diverse student body. Over the past five years, 50 percent of the law school’s summer associates with Big Law have been students of color. As always, a significant number of students are pursuing public interest careers.

For the past three years, Professor Andrew Haile and first-year students in the Legal Skills in Social Context (LSSC) program have worked with the Louis D. Brown Peace Institute, a Dorchester-based community organization that supports and serves individuals and families whose loved ones were murdered in the Boston area.
Professor Patricia J. Williams is the recipient of a 2025 Windham-Campbell Prize for Nonfiction, one of the world’s most significant international literary awards.
Professor Sharmila Murthy’s article “Disrupting Utility Law for Water Justice,” published in the Stanford Law Review in 2024, was selected for inclusion in the 17th edition of the prestigious Environmental Law and Policy Annual Review (ELPAR).
