Back to Class Night included updates from faculty members Hayat Bearat, Hemanth Gundavaram and Margaret Burnham. The faculty spoke about classes, clinics and the Centers of Excellence, including the Domestic Violence Clinic, the Immigrant Justice Clinic, the Civil Rights and Restorative Justice Project and the Center for Law, Equity and Race.

Saturday Morning Conversations With …
Brief conversations with some of our illustrious graduates, who share insights from their careers, passion projects and accomplishments, are a highlight of every reunion weekend. This year we were honored to hear from Jonathon Foglia ’05, Will Hill ’85, Deborah Johnson ’00, John Lanza ’95, Jeff Lowenfels ’75, Karen Morton ’80, Ben Weinberg ’90 and Chanda Wolf ’10, who filled us in on their life journeys.
Deborah Johnson ’00, an expert in insurance law, spoke about her career and current position as a member of the faculty of the University of Maine School of Law; Ben Weinberg ’90 (right), pro bono partner at Dentons, reflected on his career as a Chicago trial lawyer and legal services attorney and on co-founding the Law Firm Antiracism Alliance, through which more than 165,000 lawyers nationwide provide pro bono services.
Saturday Night
The gala reunion reception was filled with laughter and long-overdue embraces as old friends reconnected, swapped stories and marveled at how far everyone had come since their days at Northeastern Law.
